Full Site Surveys
Accurate measured surveys as the base for every drawing
Good drawings start with accurate measurements. Before we draw a project we can visit the site to carry out a full survey, so that your drawings reflect what is actually there – not what an old plan says should be there.
Surveys are drawn up in CAD and used as the base for design, setting out and manufacturing drawings. This is especially important in shopfitting and joinery, where items have to fit existing walls, openings and services first time.
Our site surveys include
- Measured surveys of shops, offices and residential properties
- Floor plans, elevations and sections drawn in CAD
- Openings, ceiling heights and existing features recorded
- Survey drawings ready to use as the base for your design
- Attendance at site meetings with your client or contractor
How it works
- Tell us about the project – send drawings, sketches, photos or a brief, or we can meet you or your client on site.
- Survey and design – where needed we carry out a full site survey, then prepare design drawings for approval.
- Detailed drawings – once the design is agreed we produce clear construction and manufacturing drawings.
- Issue and support – drawings are issued using drawing issue sheets, and we keep you up to date until the project is complete.
Frequently asked questions
Why do I need a site survey?
Joinery and shopfitting have to fit the real building first time. A survey records the actual walls, openings, ceiling heights and features so the drawings are right.
What do I receive after a survey?
Survey drawings in CAD – floor plans, elevations and sections – ready to use as the base for design and manufacturing drawings.
Do you survey shops and homes?
Yes – shops, offices and residential properties, including listed buildings.
